Thirteen Prints by Hasui: koban, mostly of Shinto shrines and environs, one framed and twelve mounted in book entitled Shinto and its Architecture by Aisaburo Akiyama, 2nd edition, Tokyo, 1955, with Hasui woodcuts as published by Shozaburo Watanabe, (fine impressions, color, and condition). The book is divided into two parts. The first is titled Shinto, which is a description and history of the Shinto religion. Part II is titled Shinto Architecture, and discusses the various Shinto Shrine architectural styles.

Kawase Hasui designed 12 woodblock prints, reproduced by Watanabe, in pristine condition, as illustrations for the book. The first edition of this book was published in 1936 by the Tokyo News Service. It was later reprinted in 1955. The prints, which measure 4×7 inches each, are often removed from the book and resold individually.
